Fast-Track in der Hüft- und Kniegelenkendoprothetik

Zusammenfassung

Fast-Track-Behandlungskonzepte wurden bereits vor Jahrzehnten in der Allgemein- und Abdominalchirurgie entwickelt und in den vergangenen Jahren für die speziellen Anforderungen in der Hüft- und Kniegelenkendoprothetik adaptiert. In diesem Bereich konnte im Besonderen Hendrik Husted wissenschaftliche Evidenz für die Bestandteile von Fast-Track-Konzepten aufzeigen. Dabei ist primäres Ziel weniger, die stationären Liegezeiten von Patienten zu verkürzen, sondern vielmehr die Behandlungsqualität für die Patientinnen und Patienten effektiv zu steigern und ggf. Komplikationen zu reduzieren. Die Optimierung der organisatorischen Abläufe sowie der intra- und perioperativen chirurgischen Vorgehensweisen sind wesentliche Bestandteile bei der Einführung von Fast-Track in der klinischen Routine. Dieser Beitrag soll einen umfassenden Überblick über die Fast-Track-Behandlungskonzepte geben und die wissenschaftlichen Grundlagen für das Vorgehen erläutern.
