Zusammenfassung

Die Bestimmung des Blutdrucks gehört zur Standardüberwachung in der perioperativen, Intensiv- und Notfallmedizin. Zum einen kann der Blutdruck direkt über einen arteriellen Katheter gemessen werden; dies stellt die genaueste klinische Messmethode dar. Am häufigsten erfolgt die nichtinvasive, intermittierende Messung des Blutdrucks mithilfe der Oberarmmanschette; dies kann manuell – mithilfe von Palpation und Auskultation – oder aber automatisiert, basierend auf einem oszillometrischen Algorithmus, erfolgen. Daneben existieren Methoden wie die Fingerfotoplethysmographie, mit denen eine kontinuierliche und nichtinvasive Überwachung möglich ist. Im Folgenden werden die einzelnen Methoden erklärt, die Fehlerquellen bei der Messung erläutert, Vor- und Nachteile aufgezeigt sowie Einsatzgebiete diskutiert.
