Microscopic trans-sphenoidal surgery is a well-established procedure for the removal of pituitary adenoma since the 1960s, which is associated with good outcomes. Although arterial injury during or after trans-sphenoidal surgery was a rare complication for pituitary adenoma (1 %), it was related to significant morbidity (24 %) and mortality (14 %) [1]. …
