Zusammenfassung

Die operative Behandlung des benignen Prostatasyndroms umfasst ein großes Spektrum verschiedener Techniken. Dabei gilt die transurethrale Resektion der Prostata (TURP) als Referenzverfahren. In den letzten Jahren traten verschiedene minimal-invasive Behandlungsmodalitäten in den Vordergrund, für die gute kurzfristige funktionelle Ergebnisse beschrieben wurden. Allerdings fehlen Langzeitdaten, um die Effektivität und Sicherheit des jeweiligen Verfahrens nachhaltig beurteilen zu können. Die vorliegende Übersichtsarbeit soll die verschiedenen in Deutschland verfügbaren Therapieoptionen beleuchten und die Datenlage bewerten.
