Die Lithiumtherapie gehört zu den ältesten in der Psychiatrie angewendeten Methoden. Wir verfügen über einen immensen klinischen Erfahrungsschatz. Wenig andere Substanzen sind mittlerweile so gut in ihrer Wirkweise und in ihren Effekten verstanden. Das macht die Anwendung trotz enger therapeutischer Breite heute für die Patienten sicher. Der folgende Artikel gibt einen Überblick über die Hintergründe der Lithiumtherapie und die Aspekte der klinischen Anwendung. Außerdem soll der Leser Hinweise zur sicheren Anwendung der Lithiumtherapie erhalten. …
