Zusammenfassung

Die adjuvante Strahlentherapie stellt eine wichtige Säule in der multimodalen Behandlung des Mammakarzinoms dar; sie ermöglicht durch eine effektive Eradikation von noch im Operationsgebiet verbliebenen Tumorzellen eine deutliche Senkung des lokoregionären Rezidivrisikos. Bestrahlte Patientinnen profitieren in Abhängigkeit von ihrem Tumorstadium dadurch auch hinsichtlich ihres Überlebens. Eine adjuvante Nachbestrahlung ist nach brusterhaltender Operation grundsätzlich und nach Mastektomie bei bestimmten Risikogruppen indiziert. Die zu bestrahlenden Volumina von Restbrustgewebe, Thoraxwand und der lokoregionären Lymphabflusswege sowie Strahlendosis und Fraktionierung werden in Abhängigkeit von Tumorausdehnung, Tumorbiologie und patientenspezifischen Faktoren für jede Patientin individuell festgelegt.
