Over the past year, ASNC has engaged the leadership of other Cardiovascular subspecialty societies to discuss commonalities and collaborate on educational programs and advocacy initiatives. This subspecialty partnership includes the American Society of Echocardiography (ASE), Heart Failure Society of America (HFSA), Heart Rhythm Society (HRS), the Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions (SCAI), and the Society of Cardiovascular Computed Tomography (SCCT). Through this alliance we hope to further our shared aims of providing our members with the tools necessary to provide high quality care to their patients, educational programming to achieve certification and accreditation, and exchange best practices and approaches to support patient advocacy efforts. At one of our meetings we reflected on the benefits of membership in a subspecialty society, and out of this discussion we drafted this month’s Presidents Page, “The Value of Membership in Your Sub-Specialty Society”, which will be co-published in the representative journals of ASE, HFSA and SCAI. I believe this captures the essence of why you are, or if not should strongly consider, being a member of ASNC. …
