A 51-year-old man was initially evaluated at an outside facility due to a complaint of shoulder pain. His past medical history included achalasia that had been diagnosed in 2005 in Mexico, at which point he had undergone an unknown esophageal procedure with minimal medical follow-up in the interim. His history was also significant for alcohol use disorder and methamphetamine use. A CT scan performed at the outside facility revealed a 4.9 × 3.7 × 5.4 cm mass in the left deltoid, after which he was discharged with planned orthopedics follow-up. …
