Postpartale Depression und Migration

Zusammenfassung

Migration gilt als Einflussfaktor auf das psychische Gesundheitserleben und ist heute in Zeiten großer Migrationsbewegungen ein stetig relevanteres Thema der Psychiatrie. Auffällig ist jedoch, dass nur wenige Untersuchungen zu frauenspezifischen psychischen Leiden und Migration existieren. Obwohl das unterschätzte Frauenleiden der postpartalen Depression bei Frauen mit Migrationshintergrund in der klinischen Praxis regelmäßig auftritt, fehlen in Deutschland und international Erkenntnisse zur Epidemiologie, um Einflussfaktoren in der Entwicklung einer postpartalen Depression speziell bei Frauen mit Migrationshintergrund zu identifizieren. Migrationsspezifische und kulturspezifische Behandlungsangebote sind zukünftig notwendig, um einer Chronifizierung der Störung und potenziellen Folgestörungen der häufig auch betroffenen Familienmitglieder entgegenzuwirken. Mit dem Ziel, ein wirksames und kultursensibles postpartales Behandlungsangebot anbieten zu können, sollten sowohl Psycholog/innen und Psychiater/innen als auch gynäkologisches Fachpersonal über spezifische Faktoren innerhalb der Entwicklung einer postpartalen Depression bei Frauen mit Migrationshintergrund informiert sein. Diese Übersichtsarbeit thematisiert zentrale Aspekte der postpartalen Depression wie Epidemiologie, Symptome, Risikofaktoren und Behandlungskonzepte und setzt diese mit Migration als Einflussfaktor in Beziehung.
