The study and its results by Ceylan et al. titled “Demonstrating the effectiveness of Platelet Rich Plasma and Prolotherapy treatments in knee osteoarthritis” was read with interest [
1]. The authors aimed to study the efficiency of platelet rich plasma (PRP) and prolotherapy (PRL) in the treatment of knee osteoarthritis (OA). They conducted a three-arm study comprising of PRP, PRL, and physical therapy with final data analysis at 3 months. They concluded that pain and disability significantly improved with PRP and PRL in comparison to physical therapy and opined that PRL may be preferred due to its low-cost, long-term efficacy, and low complication rates. …
