We have read with great interest the paper by Byard presenting the specimen from The University of Adelaide Pathology Archive “which consists of a preserved portion of an amniotic sac or caul that had been dried and folded onto a piece of paper” with “minimal accompanying documentation except a note that stated that it was approximately 120 years old when it was donated to the museum at an unspecified date”. The caul had been found “covering the head of an infant who was later christened Harry” [
