A 3-month-old girl presented with inability to move both lower limbs since birth following a difficult breech forceps delivery. On examination there was hypotonia in the lower limbs with brisk knee and ankle jerks and extensor plantars. US (Fig.
1) showed loss of normal contour of the cord at C7 and D1 vertebral levels. MRI (Fig.
2) revealed intraspinal hematoma as low-signal hemosiderin in T2-weighted images with discontinuity of the cord as a sequela of a previous transection. …
