Sleep medicine and surgery has emerged as a field to watch out for. Sleep disorders are becoming increasingly common in the world due to factors such as sedentary lifestyle, obesity, and stress. The most prevalent of these sleep disorders is obstructive sleep apnoea (OSA), which affects a large percentage of the Indian population [

2]. OSA is characterised by upper airway obstruction, static or dynamic, while you're asleep, which causes breathing pauses, occasional hypoxia, and sleep fragmentation. It has been proven that 35–40% of patients suffering from metabolic syndrome, uncontrolled diabetes and uncontrolled hypertension suffer from obstructive sleep apnea [
