The WHO global individual case safety report (ICSR) database, Vigibase, contains 22 ISCRs of vemurafenib-associated sepsis, according to a report from Dr Geraldine Hill of the Uppsala Monitoring Centre.[1] Although metastatic cancer itself is a risk factor for sepsis, there is evidence to support a signal for vemurafenib-associated sepsis, with a consistent time to onset and vemurafenib being the only suspected drug in most cases. …
