Organotin compounds are currently utilized as stabilizers for polyvinyl chloride plastics and as antifungal agents (such as agricultural fungicides, paints, and antifouling agents). Lipophilicity allows organotin to be absorbed through the respiratory tract, digestive tract, and skin, after which it was distributed in the liver and blood with high concentration, and then excreted from the kidney and digestive tract after dealkylation by microsomal enzymes in the liver. However, when organotin is excessive, it will definitely accumulate in the human body, causing damage to the central nervous system (CNS). …
