Auf einen Blick

Mit über 2 Mrd. DDD stellen die sog. „Psychopharmaka“, also Arzneistoffe zur Behandlung der Depression, von Angststörungen, der bipolaren Störung und der Aufmerksamkeitsdefizit-/Hyperaktivitätsstörung (ADHS), eine der meist verordneten Arzneimittelgruppen dar. Dabei sind die seit vielen Jahren beobachteten Zuwächse mitunter auf steigende Verordnungen und Indikationsausweitungen von „Antidepressiva“ zurückzuführen sowie geringere Zunahmen bei den „Antipsychotika“. Dagegen nehmen die Verordnungen von Arzneimitteln mit sedierender und anxiolytischer Wirkung („Tranquillanzien“) seit langem kontinuierlich ab.
