Zusammenfassung

In den letzten Jahrzehnten nimmt aufgrund der demografischen Entwicklung in den Industrienationen der Anteil an alten Patienten wesentlich zu. Die Dermatochirurgie ist hiervon besonders betroffen, da ein Großteil unserer hochbetagten Patienten an Hauttumorerkrankungen leidet, die primär operativ versorgt werden. Physiologische Veränderungen des Alters und Multimorbidität, häufig verbunden mit einer Polypharmazie, stellen hierbei große Herausforderung an den behandelnden Arzt. Was sind wichtige Aspekte der Versorgung? Was muss beachtet werden? Was sind mögliche Komplikationen, und wie kann man sie verhindern? Neben der Klärung dieser wichtigen Fragen werden auch einige operative Vorgehensweisen der Versorgung sehr alter Patienten dargelegt.
