Zusammenfassung

Hintergrund

Infektionen der Urogenitalorgane gehören zu den akzeptierten Ursachen männlicher Fertilitätsstörungen. Der prozentuale Anteil von Männern mit infektionsbedingter Sub-/Infertilität wird für andrologische Sprechstunden mit 6–10 % angegeben.

Thema

Die Übersichtarbeit thematisiert die wesentlichen Urogenitalinfektionen (Prostatitis, Epididymitis, Orchitis, „male accessory gland infection“, MAGI) und deren Auswirkungen auf die Fertilität und beschreibt umgekehrt die Evidenz hinsichtlich Urogenitalinfektionen bei männlicher Infertilität.
