Zusammenfassung

Der elektrische Sturm (ES) führt zu einer Einschränkung der Lebensqualität und erhöht die Mortalität. Bei fehlender Effektivität einer zunächst medikamentösen antiarrhythmischen Therapie ist die Katheterablation die Behandlungsmethode der Wahl. Als optimalen prozeduralen Endpunkt der Katheterablation wird die Nicht-Induktion aller klinischer und nicht-klinischer ventrikulärer Tachyarrhythmien angestrebt. Bei Erfolg kann die Katheterablation des ES zu einer signifikanten Verringerung der Mortalität beitragen.
