Neuroendokrine Tumoren des Gastrointestinaltrakts

Zusammenfassung

Das diffuse neuroendokrine Zellsystem des Magen- und Darmtrakts ist Ausgangspunkt der neuroendokrinen Neoplasien. Diese werden nach der WHO-Klassifikation in gut differenzierte neuroendokrine Tumoren benignen Verhaltens oder fraglicher Dignität, gut differenzierte neuroendokrine Karzinome niedriger Malignität und niedrig differenzierte neuroendokrine Karzinome mit hoher Malignität unterteilt. Die gut differenzierten neuroendokrinen Tumoren und Karzinome entsprechen den Karzinoiden früherer Klassifikationen. Zur weiteren biologischen und prognostischen Klassifizierung dieser Neoplasien ist es notwendig, die Lokalisation der Tumoren im Gastrointestinaltrakt zu berücksichtigen. Dies gestattet eine klinisch relevante Diagnose und erfasst alle bislang bekannten Tumorentitäten.
