We read with interest the article by Simsek-Onat et al. [
1] evaluating the neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio (NLR) values in pediatric inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) during diagnosis, active disease, and remission. The author found that NLR levels were significantly increased at diagnosis and active disease of childhood IBD, compared to the remission period.
