We thank Dr. Lee for their insightful input regarding our paper. Multimodality imaging plays an essential role in diagnosing and managing cardiac masses; however, as the authors mentioned, there are limited data on the surveillance of cardiac masses with imaging. In general, non-neoplastic masses, such as thrombus, require follow-up imaging with echocardiography, cardiac computed tomography (CCT), or cardiac magnetic resonance imaging (CMR) to assess the resolution after anticoagulation treatment. On the other hand, benign neoplastic masses usually undergo surgical excision and do not require any follow-up imaging. However, recurrent benign cardiac masses in syndromic patients, such as cardiac myxoma as a part of the Carney complex, may require follow-up anatomical imaging (CCT/CMR). The value of anatomical or functional follow-up imaging in patients with primary malignant neoplasm or metastases is not well analyzed. …
