Der Kopfschmerz vom Spannungstyp ist der am häufigsten auftretende primäre Kopfschmerz, dessen Pathophysiologie dennoch bisher nicht gut verstanden ist. Er ist durch das weitestgehende Fehlen von begleitenden Symptomen gekennzeichnet und kann zumeist durch eine strukturierte Schmerzanamnese und eine unauffällige neurologische und internistische Untersuchung diagnostiziert werden. Wichtig ist die sichere Abgrenzung von sekundären Kopfschmerzen. …
