Background: In May / June 2011 the Foundation German Pollen Information Service (PID) and the Federal Environment Agency (UBA) conducted a study [
1] concerning the distribution of pollen and particulate matter (PM10) in Berlin as an urban agglomeration. For catching pollen a Burkard trap was used. Parallel measurements took place near an urban motorway („BAB 100“), in an inner-city park („Tiergarten“) and in a suburban area („Adlershof“). Both pollen and PM10 showed different concentrations at the three different monitoring sites. Highest values were reached at the motorway site. There a Burkard trap was also installed in 2012 and the current year 2013. …
