Zusammenfassung

Augenverletzungen sind ein häufiger Grund für medizinische Notfallkonsultationen. In den meisten Fällen handelt es sich um leichte und oberflächliche Verletzungen mit guter Prognose. Auch ein von außen nicht offensichtlich verletztes Auge kann jedoch schwer geschädigt sein. Die präklinische Betreuung und die Betreuung durch Nichtophthalmologen in der Notfallsituation sind wichtig. In gewissen Fällen sind sofortige therapeutische Erstmaßnahmen durchzuführen, zudem erfolgt die Beurteilung, ob und wenn ja wie dringlich eine augenärztliche Untersuchung indiziert ist. Der vorliegende Beitrag befasst sich mit häufigen und relevanten Augenverletzungen und zeigt auf, wie dabei alle in der Notfallversorgung tätigen Personen zur optimalen Betreuung der betroffenen Patienten beitragen können.
