Zusammenfassung

Die unreife Nierenfunktion des Neugeborenen muss bei der Flüssigkeits- und Elektrolytzufuhr, insbesondere aber bei der Pharmakotherapie berücksichtigt werden. Das differenzialdiagnostische Vorgehen beim Nierenversagen des Früh- und Reifgeborenen wird ebenso dargestellt wie die Diagnostik und Therapie von angeborenen Funktionsstörungen und Fehlbildungen der Nieren und der ableitenden Harnwege. Ein akutes Nierenversagen wird bei Früh- und Reifgeborenen zunehmend häufiger diagnostiziert, die Indikation zur extrakorporalen Therapie verschiebt sich hin zu leichteren und unreiferen Kindern.
