Inflammation, as seen in sepsis and systemic inflammatory response, is dependent on the activation of the NFκB pathway through Toll-like receptors (TLRs) [
1]. Recreating an inflammatory response using lipopolysaccharide (LPS) can provide results that are different to clinical sepsis [
