Population data are an important part of forensic genetics, since allele frequencies are needed for any statistical evaluation. But the presentation of these data in a full manuscript is rather boring/cumbersome for the reader, because a major part of the information is similar for each manuscript. To avoid these problems, there is a new possibility to publish population genetic data in the International Journal of Legal Medicine called “Population data”.
