Zusammenfassung

Die Krankheitsursachen und Störungen des Immunsystems, die zur Entstehung des systemischen Lupus erythematodes (SLE) beitragen, sind bisher nur teilweise verstanden. Wir wissen aber, dass es verschiedene Mechanismen gibt, die zur Entwicklung eines SLE führen können. Der Entstehung der Erkrankung liegt eine genetische Prädisposition zugrunde, jedoch kommt es erst durch Einwirkung von Umwelteinflüssen (z. B. Sonnenbrand, Virusinfektionen oder Vitamin-D-Mangel) zum Ausbruch der Krankheit. Auch Krankheitsschübe können durch Umwelteinflüsse ausgelöst werden. Viele Krankheitsmanifestationen werden durch pathogene Autoantikörper (mit) bedingt, weshalb B‑Zellen und Plasmazellen von zentraler Bedeutung sind. Dieser Review gibt eine Übersicht über die häufigsten SLE-auslösenden Ursachen und wichtige Mechanismen der Pathogenese.
