Radiofrequency (RF) ablation is considered a minimally invasive treatment for renal tumors in patients that are unsuitable for a nephrectomy [
1]. Ureteral injury is rare but is a serious complication that may occur from RF ablation of a renal tumor [
1‐
5]. This complication mostly results from unintended thermal injury to the ureter in close proximity to the renal tumor. On immediate postablation images, the ureteral wall may appear thickened due to acute inflammation, and subsequently a ureteral stricture may occur as a late complication [
5]. Recently, we accidentally experienced ureteral perforation by unintentional manipulation of an RF electrode, and we describe the imaging features with respect to the technical aspects of ablation procedures. …
