Zusammenfassung

Die Klavikulaschaftfraktur wird sowohl operativ als auch nichtoperativ behandelt. Der Beitrag geht auf die häufigsten Revisionsgründe ein. Zu den typischen Komplikationen nach nichtoperativer Therapie zählen die Pseudarthrose und deutlich seltener die Fehlverheilung. Durch den zunehmenden Anteil operativer Behandlungen kommen Revisionsgründe wie Implantatversagen und Infekt hinzu. Die stabile Plattenosteosynthese ist Grundlage eines suffizienten Komplikationsmanagements.

Mit dem demographischen Wandel versorgt auch die Chirurgie immer mehr betagte Menschen. Von Entwicklungen wie Fast-Track können auch ältere Menschen profitieren und bei proximaler Humerusfraktur können selbst manche 100-Jährige noch sicher operiert werden.
