Dr. Hidenori Inohara is the Professor and Chair of the Department of Otorhinolaryngology—Head and Neck Surgery at Osaka University Graduate School of Medicine. After graduation from Osaka University Faculty of Medicine in 1987, Dr. Inohara moved to Osaka University Graduate School of Medicine, after receiving one year of clinical training. He developed the human tumor xenograft model in scid mice and earned a Ph.D. in 1992. He then worked as a postdoctoral fellow at the Karmanos Cancer Institute, Wayne State University in the USA, and engaged in research to clarify the roles of galectin-3 in cancer metastasis, under the direction of Dr. Avraham Raz. …
