Neurostimulation zur Behandlung von Kopfschmerzen

Zusammenfassung

Ein kleiner Teil der Patienten mit primären Kopfschmerzen ist sowohl in Bezug auf die Behandlung von Kopfschmerzepisoden als auch die Prophylaxe von Kopfschmerzen therapierefraktär. Für diese Patientenuntergruppe wurden in den letzten Jahren neue Methoden der zentralen und peripheren Neurostimulation entwickelt. Die meisten dieser Verfahren wurden allerdings bisher nur in kleinen Fallserien eingesetzt. In der folgenden Übersicht werden die neuen Stimulationsverfahren wie die tiefe Hirnstimulation, die Stimulation des N. occipitalis major, die Stimulation des N. vagus, die Stimulation des Ganglion sphenopalatinum und die transkranielle Magnetstimulation dargestellt.
