Depression und Diabetes mellitus Typ 2

Zusammenfassung

Depression und Diabetes mellitus Typ 2 kommen häufig gemeinsam vor. Beide Erkrankungen erhöhen das Risiko der Inzidenz der anderen Erkrankung und verschlechtern deren Prognose. Daher ist es für Nervenärzte bedeutsam, depressive Patienten als Diabetesrisikoprobanden zu behandeln und entsprechend auf metabolische Risiken zu untersuchen sowie bei der antidepressiven Therapie metabolische Risiken zu meiden.
