Zusammenfassung

In der Therapie des schweren Schädel-Hirn-Traumas ist die dekompressive Kraniektomie als Mittel zur Senkung des intrakraniellen Drucks in den Fokus des Interesses gerückt. Studien zeigen jedoch, dass großes Augenmerk auf die Auswahl potenziell geeigneter Patienten gelegt werden muss, um diejenigen zu identifizieren, die mit hoher Wahrscheinlichkeit von einer Dekompression profitieren können.
